LIT is enrolling now for Take 1 FREE Summer & Fall 2021 Classes

BEAUMONT – With Lamar Institute of Technology’s Summer semester fast approaching beginning July 6, those who are unemployed, underemployed and current employees can take advantage of the ‘Take 1 FREE on LIT’ initiative and re-train or upskill by returning to school. LIT is offering free Summer and Fall 2021 classes when students register for more than one Summer and/or Fall class. The savings amount up to $417 or three college hours.
“This presents an ideal and timely way for students to take advantage of a quality education that could lead to ‘A Degree that Works,’” said LIT President Dr. Lonnie L. Howard. “LIT strives to provide the most affordable resources for our community. We are delighted to offer this opportunity to everyone willing to live up to their idea of ‘the American Dream.’”
To be considered for more financial options with no out-of-pocket expenses for Summer, students are advised to:
- Complete an Admissions application at ApplyTexas.org.
- Visit fafsa.gov. For Summer students, complete the 2020-2021 FASFA; for Fall, the 2021-2022 FASFA.
- Schedule an advising appointment after receiving an acceptance letter and completing the FAFSA application.Email registration@lit.edu for an appointment.
- Complete an LIT scholarship application for Fall at lit.edu/foundation/scholarships.
- Meet with a Financial Aid specialist to review other financial and scholarship options.
