BEAUMONT – See it. Feel it. Experience it. Lamar Institute of Technology’s (LIT) first annual ‘Touch-a-Program’ event will be held April 23, from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. on the college grounds, at 855 E. Lavaca St.

The goal of this community-wide event is to increase awareness of more than 50 degree and certificate programs at LIT. “Touch-a-Program was developed to give potential students the opportunity to explore various in-demand occupations offered at LIT, and interact with the industry/business partners that hire our students,” said Tiffany Williams-Parker, Technology Department Chair.

Students can take advantage of registration and financial aid assistance, while enjoying music, food, refreshments, and giveaways. “This is a unique, fun way for students to engage with their future instructors and learn how to further their education affordably,” LIT’s Business Technologies Chair Lauri Arnold-Calder stated.

LIT is currently enrolling for May Mini, Summer and Fall 2022 semesters. Federal student emergency grants are still available for eligible students. For additional details visit lit.edu/cares.
