IPEDS Data Feedback Reports

The Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS) is a national data‑collection program that gathers information (e.g., enrollment, graduation, finance, and human resources) from every postsecondary institution that is eligible to receive Title IV federal financial aid. These data support federal and state policy development; institutional planning, benchmarking, and peer analysis; and students and families in the college selection process---through the College Navigator tool (https://nces.ed.gov/collegenavigator/). Additional information about IPEDS can be found on the website https://nces.ed.gov/ipeds.

The Data Feedback Report provides institutions with meaningful context for reviewing the information they submit to IPEDS. It is designed to give institutional leaders a clear, accessible resource for understanding their data and support efforts to improve the quality, accuracy, and comparability of IPEDS submissions. The report includes a curated set of indicators of the institution's performance compared with a peer group of similar institutions. The Methodological Notes at the end of the report describe additional information about these indicators and the pre-selected comparison group.
