Student Outcomes Data

Student Outcomes Data provides information on the academic and workforce results of students after completing their programs of study. These data, sourced from state and federal reporting systems, include measures such as graduate earnings, employment outcomes, student debt, and completion rates. By linking education records with workforce, tax, and wage data, these resources offer a comprehensive view of how educational experiences translate into career opportunities and economic success.

The following resources enable students, parents, and the public to explore program- and institution-level outcomes, including education costs, debt, completion rates, and workforce results, supporting informed decisions and a deeper understanding of the relationship between education and career pathways.

The Post-Secondary Employment Outcomes (PSEO) is an experimental data product from the US Census Bureau containing earnings outcomes and employment flows for recent graduates of partner institutions. These statistics are generated by matching transcript data with a national database of jobs. Only graduates who earn at least the annual equivalent of full-time work at the prevailing federal minimum wage and work three or more quarters in a calendar year are included.
  • Earnings outcomes are available by degree field, degree level, and graduation cohort. The 25th, 50th, and 75th percentiles are released for one, five, and 10 years after graduation.
  • Employment Flows provide the number of graduates to the geographic location and/or industry of their main employer. Flows are available by degree field, degree level, and graduation cohort and are released for one, five, and 10 years after graduation.

The Texas Consumer Resource for Education and Workforce Statistics (CREWS) is a statewide initiative developed by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB) and the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) that provides information on graduate earnings, employment outcomes, and student loan data for Texas postsecondary institutions.

These data are produced by linking institutional records, such as enrollment and graduation data, with state unemployment insurance wage records, allowing for a comprehensive view of workforce outcomes following graduation. Because the dashboard relies on verified wage data, results are released after at least one year of collected reporting data to ensure accuracy and completeness.

  • CREWS reports median first-year earnings, employment indicators, and loan-to-income measures by program and award level. Data are available by field of study, credential level, and graduating cohort.

The College Scorecard is a data tool developed by the U.S. Department of Education that provides information on college costs, completion rates, student debt, and post-graduation earnings outcomes for institutions nationwide.

These data are produced by linking federal student aid records with Internal Revenue Service (IRS) tax data, allowing for the reporting of actual earnings outcomes for students who received federal financial aid. Because the data rely on verified federal records and longitudinal tracking of student cohorts, results are released with a reporting lag and reflect outcomes for prior groups of students. Additionally, earnings measures are limited to individuals who received federal financial aid and met minimum reporting thresholds to ensure data privacy.

  • College Scorecard reports median earnings at multiple time points after enrollment or graduation (e.g., 1, 4, 6, and 10 years), along with measures of employment, student loan debt, and repayment progress. Data are available at the institution level and by field of study.
