This degree provides a core curriculum that will transfer to four-year institutions and is comparable to the first two years of many Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice plans. Students choose six academic criminal justice courses to serve as the foundation for their education in this field.

Degree Requirements

You must complete a core curriculum of 42 semester credit hours and 18 semester credit hours in Criminal Justice courses. You must earn a grade of “C” or better. Students must complete at least 25% of the program coursework at Lamar Institute of Technology. You also must complete the College Success Skills Course (DORI 200) or be exempt.
