The Lamar Institute of Technology (LIT) invites the community to the third annual Swing for Scholarships Social event from 5-8 p.m. October 13, 2026, at 5 Under Golf Center, 5945 College St, Beaumont, TX.

Attendees will have a chance to qualify for a $1,000,000 Hole-in-One Challenge, with the top 12 golfers advancing to try their best to swing a hole-in-one at the ExxonMobil LIT Foundation Golf Tournament being held at Bayou Din Golf Course on October 16, 2026. The event will also include a silent auction, live music from Jamie Talbert and  opportunities to network with industry leaders.

“Swing for Scholarships is a great night of fun, music, golf and community, but at its heart, it’s about supporting LIT students,” said Krista Hunter, LIT executive director of development and foundation. “The money raised through this event helps open doors for students and gives them an opportunity to pursue their education and build a future right here in Southeast Texas.”

All proceeds from the event benefit the LIT Foundation and provide scholarships for students pursuing any degree at LIT.

For more information, please contact Executive Director of Development and Foundation Krista Hunter at foundation@lit.edu or 409-839-2956.
