The Lamar Institute of Technology General Scholarship Application opens Thursday, October 15, 2026.
Students may use one General Scholarship Application to be considered for eligible LIT scholarship opportunities throughout the 2027 award year.

- Application Opens: Thursday, October 15, 2026
- Spring 2027 Priority Consideration Deadline: Wednesday, January 6, 2027
- Applications submitted by the priority deadline will receive first consideration for available Spring 2027 scholarship opportunities.
- Applications will remain open after the priority deadline for additional Spring, Summer and Fall 2027 scholarship opportunities, as funding is available.
- After you apply: Continue checking your Scholarship Portal regularly for scholarship offers, supplemental requirements and important updates.
Students only need to submit one General Scholarship Application to be considered for eligible scholarships. Some opportunities may require additional questions or documents.
A wide variety of scholarships are offered, each year, to students at Lamar Institute of Technology. Scholarships are funds that cover all or a portion of the student’s educational expenses. here are two types of scholarships awarded through The Institute: those administered solely by LIT, and those administered by The Institute at the request of donors, who determine criteria and select recipients themselves. Funds administered by the scholarship committee are awarded on the basis of academic achievement, programs of study, or special skills demonstrated by students. Consideration is given to extra-curricular activities such as leadership positions, career accomplishments, or honors and awards received. Departmental scholarships may also be available based on a student’s chosen field of study.
Students applying for scholarships administered by Lamar Institute of Technology should apply to on our website. An academic transcript must be submitted with the scholarship application if you are a new or transfer student and wish to be considered for award in the upcoming academic year.
