Accounting Technology - Certificate

The Accounting Technology certificate prepares the student for an entry-level position in business, industry, government, or public accounting. Students receive instruction in accounting concepts, computerized accounting, payroll accounting, tax accounting, managerial accounting, and spreadsheets for accounting.

The Accounting Technology program of study is 24 semester credit hours in length. Graduates of the program are prepared to perform entry-level accounting functions for small-to-medium businesses and accounting firms.

The intensity and standards of the Accounting Technology program are high. Therefore, all courses in the Recommended Program of Study must be completed with a grade of "C" or better. Any Accounting Technology student who does not earn a grade of "C" or higher must repeat the course.
