LIT campus to remain closed today, February 16, remote instruction and work canceled due to widespread power outages

BEAUMONT — Due to widespread power outages across the area, LIT is canceling remote instruction and work. 
At this time, classes and normal operations are expected to resume on Wednesday, February 17, dependent on weather and travel conditions.
 
Regardless of the forecast or road conditions, the college advises students and employees to stay safe and always use their own judgment when making any decisions regarding their personal safety.
 
Any additional updates will be communicated via the lit.edu website, local news media, internal email and social media.
