ACT WorkKeys® Exams for Business/Industry

WorkKeys is a national system for assessing workplace skills and enables education and business to work together to strengthen achievement of workplace skills. In consultation with employers, educators and experts in employment and training requirements, ACT has identified key generic employability skills that are crucial to effective performance in most jobs. The following critical skills form the basis of the WorkKeys system:

ACT's WorkKeys System offers a consistent reliable method to hire and screen job candidates and to determine where additional training can improve the caliber of the workforce. As follows, WorkKeys has two components to determine the skills necessary to perform a job and assessments to determine if applicants are qualified for a position.

If you need accommodations for the exam, these must be requested well in advance of the test date with Special Populations staff in Student Services at 409-951-5708 in Eagles' Nest Room 123. If approved, they will coordinate with Testing. Appointments should not be made until you have providedthe Testing Coordinator your accommodations letter. Appointments made are subject to be cancelled and rescheduled if accomodations are requested after an appointment is made.

During the summer, the Frank Robinson Center in Silsbee, TX can administer the WorkKeys test. Please call 409-24-8346 for appointments. Payments will be accepted there on the day of the appointment.
