Lamar Institute of Technology provides a full service testing center for LIT students and the community through our ACT Testing Center. Assessments, both in the electronic and paper/pencil format, are offered in a comfortable, secure testing environment. Exams range from student placement exams, LIT program exams, national licensures/certificates and state certifications to testing for area business and industry. COMPASS® Exam - COMPASS®, a state approved alternative to THEA, is a comprehensive computerized adaptive testing system that helps place students into appropriate college credit courses or developmental courses.
WorkKeys® Exams - WorkKeys® assessments give students and workers reliable, relevant information about their workplace skill levels. Combined with information about skill levels required for jobs, assessments information can help users make better career and educational decisions.
ACT Professional Exams - ACT partners with Lamar Institute of Technology and other institutions to form a comprehensive nationwide network of centers dedicated to serving the community through workforce development and testing.
PearsonVUE IT Certifications - PearsonVUE delivers exams for Microsoft, Cisco, Sun Microsystems - SAI, CompTIA, IBM, The American College, NASD, IBM Lotus, LPI, Internet Security Systems, ITT Technical Institute, IBM Informix, and many other testing programs.
