Real Estate - Associate of Applied Science
The Real Estate Program is designed to prepare students to enter the real estate industry in the fields of real estate sales, appraisal, brokerage, and finance. The program is designed for those entering the real estate industry, as well as for those who wish to expand their professional knowledge. Real estate courses may be taken to satisfy the educational requirements of the Texas Real Estate Commission for salespersons’ licenses and renewal. Real estate courses may satisfy the educational requirements for brokers’ licenses.
Upon successful completion of 64 semester hours in the Real Estate Program real estate degree program, a student is awarded an Associate of Applied Science degree in Real Estate.
The intensity and standards of the Real Estate Associate of Applied Science Degree are high. Therefore, all courses in the Recommended Program of Study must be completed with a grade of "C" or better. Any Real Estate student who does not earn a grade of "C" or higher must repeat the course.
