Newton Independent School District
The Newton Independent School District, located in Newton County, serves a rural population of 1,078 students and covers 392 square miles. Good ethnic relations abound in this community that offers a diverse cultural blend. Situated 30 miles from the Toledo Bend Lake, the largest fresh water reservoir in the South, and 45 miles from Sam Rayburn Lake, citizens are able to enjoy hunting, fishing, skiing, and other water sports year-round. Evadale Independent School District is a school district, located in a rural logging community about 25 miles north of Beaumont. The district has two campuses: Evadale Elementary/Jr. High, PK-8, and Evadale High School 9-12. The district serves approximately 468 students in grades PK-12. The Vidor Independent School District had its beginnings in 1929 when four common school districts (Magnolia Grove, Doty, Terry and Pine Forest) consolidated to form the Vidor Rural School District. The District became independent in 1949. Today the Vidor Independent School District encompasses 102.7 square miles in Orange County and 16 square miles in Jasper County. The District is bound in the west by the Neches River, on the east by Cow Bayou, on the south by the Pecan Acres Area, and on the north by the Jasper County line.

Silsbee Independent School District is located in East Texas approximately 100 miles east of Houston and 15 miles north of Beaumont. The district enrollment is approximately 2,900 students and covers a 265 square mile area. The district property balance is a mix of business, industry, family dwellings, and farmland.
The school district is comprised of five campuses, an administration building, transportation facility, and a maintenance center. The present school facilities are the result of the community's movers and shakers who had an interest and actively supported the school...these are both past and present school board members, school employees, parents and community members.
Silsbee ISD efficiently utilizes the facilities in order to create the best possible environment for our 2,900 students who come from diverse ethnic and economic backgrounds.
