COMPASS Testing

COMPASS®, one of four state approved placement exams, is a comprehensive computerized adaptive testing system that helps place students into appropriate college credit courses or developmental courses. Placement and diagnostic exams are offered in mathematics, reading, and writing. The writing portion of the exam uses COMPASS e-write, a new direct writing assessment that can evaluate student writing samples using electronic scoring technology delivered via the Internet. Scores are available to students upon completion of the exam.

Compass Exams will be offered in the ACT Testing Center, Building T-1, Room 106. For testing times and updates go to the LIT website, http://www.lit.edu/depts/testing/exams/compass.aspx. For additional information about testing call 409-839-2027 or 409-880-8687. You can also visit www.testprepreview.com for practice exams and click on the COMPASS test practice link.
