In consultation with employers, educators, and experts in employment and training requirements, ACT has identified key generic employability skills: skills crucial to effective performance in most jobs. offers a consistent reliable method to hire and screen job candidates and to determine where additional training can improve the caliber of the workforce. As follows, WorkKeys has two components to determine the skills necessary to perform a job and assessments to determine if applicants are qualified for a position.

WorkKeys job profiles and assessments offer consistent, reliable information to narrow applicant pools and increase job satisfaction by matching candidates to jobs for which they are qualified.
Lamar Institute of Technology partners with area and regional business utilizing the WorkKeys System to profile jobs and provide assessments.
