Lamar University's Early Childhood Development Center is located at 950 East Florida, is avail-able to LIT students. The Center is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children and provides high quality extended day care services and certified kindergarten programs for children between the ages of 18 months and five years.

The Center is staffed with teachers with degrees who create a stimulating environment and provide unlimited opportunities for learning. In addition to providing care for young children, the Center provides a site for college students to observe and work with children as part of their course work and training.

The Early Childhood Development Center accepts children on a part-time or full-time basis with the fees based on the number of hours children are in attendance.
