Medical Radiologic Technology intro image

Radiologic technologists are the medical professionals who perform diagnostic imaging examinations. Technologists use their expertise and knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, patient positioning, technical factors, equipment protocols, radiation safety and patient care to develop optimal radiologic techniques and evaluate resulting radiographic images. Radiologic technologists who perform imaging examinations are responsible for producing a quality diagnostic image to be reviewed by a radiologist, a doctor who interprets medical images to either diagnose or rule out disease or injury.
