Lamar Institute of Technology's Sonography program offers courses in Vascular Technology. The Enhanced Skills Certificate in Vascular Technology (ESC) is an option for all graduates from the Lamar Institute of Technology Diagnostic Medical Sonography program and other Registered Sonographers. Upon completion of the Vascular Technology Certificate, students will be able to take the Vascular Technology offered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography. Classes begin in January of each year.

Registered general sonographer (RDMS), Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or a graduate of a sonography program accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Diagnostic Medical Sonography (JRC/DMS).

The number of students accepted into the program is limited to space available in clinical agencies.
