Courses, online or “at a distance”, are courses where instruction occurs when the student and instructor are not in the same physical setting.
Taking an online class gives you the flexibility of taking the class at any time from any place. However, the online environment requires a unique set of skills, equipment, learning styles and deadlines that may be different from those in a traditional face-to-face, on-campus course. Because of the differences, we want you to be prepared with the necessary tools and knowledge to have a positive learning experience.
Take the Orientation for Online Students to verify that you are the type of learner and have the correct technology to succeed in an online learning environment.
