The Institute of Technology provides technical, business, health, government service, and industrial education through programs two years or less in length. Most of the programs at the Institute have been in operation for several decades. In fact, some of the programs have been operating for 50 years.

Allied Health programs are located in the Multi-Purpose Center. Other Institute programs are located in the Technology Center, the Beeson Building, the five Technical Buildings and the two annex buildings next to Technical Building 5. Classes are also offered in Silsbee, the Taylor Career Center, and the Jefferson County Correctional Complex.

The Institute awards the Associate of Applied Science degree in the following areas:
