Chevron Pipe Line donates $34,600 to Lamar Institute of Technology for equipment

BEAUMONT – The Chevron Pipe Line Company donated $34,600 to Lamar Institute of Technology on Tuesday for instrumentation and process operating equipment.

Karen DeBose, organizational capability manager at Chevron Pipe Line, and Mary O’Neill, Pipeline University advisor, made the presentation.

Chevron Pipe Line Company provides transportation, gathering, terminal and storage services to the petroleum and petrochemical industry throughout North America. The company operates crude oil terminals and pipelines in the U.S. Gulf of Mexico and in California, Colorado, Louisiana, Texas and Utah. Chevron Pipe Line Company also owns and/or operates refined product terminals and pipelines in Californiaand Texas.

The company is focused on delivering safe, reliable, efficient and flexible services for customers, including transportation of crude oil, natural gas products (including liquids) and refined products; interconnects to major pipeline systems; third-party leases of pipeline capacity; short and long term storage facilities; receipt/delivery by pipeline, truck, tank rail car, barge and ship; and terminal operations including storage and transfer of crude oil and refined products

Lamar Institute of Technology is a member of The Texas State University System. The Institute awards two-year associate degrees, and has more than 50 degree and certificate programs. It serves more than 3,000 credit and non-credit students annually, in both its degree and certificate programs and through its Department of Workforce Training.
