BEAUMONT – Lamar Institute of Technology and Lamar University will unite for a series of scenario days this week.
LIT’s emergency medical technology, respiratory care and occupational safety and health programs will work with Lamar University’s nursing program in the event, which gives students an opportunity to work on real-life skills in a controlled environment. Instructors set a scenario with multiple medical issues and complications and the students use their training to react.
he scenario will begin at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 17; Thursday, Nov. 19; and Friday, Nov. 20. The event will begin at 2 p.m., and take place in the area between the Mamie McFaddin-Ward Building and the Dishman Art Museum on the campus of Lamar University.
